Ajla Tomljanović, a Croatian with an Australian passport, secured a victory for Australia and a spot in the semi-finals of the United Cup by defeating Serbian player Natalija Stevanović with a score of 6:1, 6:1. The match lasted only 65 minutes. Stevanović is currently ranked as the 184th tennis player in the world, while Tomljanović holds the 292nd position on the WTA list. Stevanović, who replaced Olga Danilović to play for Serbia, was unable to bring the score to an equal level for Serbia as she only managed to win two games against Ajla Tomljanović.
