The World Cup will take place from May 11 to June 11 in Mexico City at the Azteca Stadium. The opening match will be held on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, as announced today by the International Football Federation (FIFA). The semifinal matches are scheduled for July 14 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and July 15 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The quarter-final matches will take place from July 9 to 11 in Massachusetts, Inglewood, Kansas City, and Miami.
The third-place match will be held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on July 18. Some group stage matches will be played in Canada, as well as in Mexico, in Monterrey and Guadalajara. All 11 stadiums in the US are NFL club stadiums.
